PDAC
Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada
Sauti za Africa was on site at the recent PDAC convention in downtown Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The convention is about everything related to mining from site assays, technologies involved including a variety of innovative fluids used during intermittent processes during the life cycle and various site locations worldwide. Many seminars on mining, regulations, best practices and so on were provided over the four day period. The keynote speech was very focused on indigenous participation in all matters of mining during the entire life cycle of the project including sharing of profits accrued from the project. This is a very needed and an important step forward toward providing equity, fairness and transparency in public assets and respect for human rights. Sauti za Africa was very interested to get perspectives from various African countries that were represented including but not limited to Tanzania, DRC, Guinea Bissau, Ghana, Namibia and so on. The government of Tanzania has sent its delegation annually for four years in a row and are keen to return in 2027 with better ideas to generate more exposure and secure global clients while on site,
